1. Our Commitment to Families

At Little Stars Preschool, the safety, well-being, and privacy of our students, parents, and legal guardians are paramount. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and safeguard personal information across our campus operations in San Fernando, Trinidad & Tobago, as well as on our website and digital parent portal.

2. Information We Collect

When you register a child, complete an enquiry, or access the parent dashboard, we collect:

• Student Information: Child's full legal name, date of birth, gender, home address, medical history, known allergies, dietary restrictions, emergency contact details, and authorized collection individuals.
• Parent & Guardian Information: Full names, primary telephone numbers, email addresses, workplace contacts, relationship to the child, and national ID/passport identification for verification.
• Enrolment Documentation: Copies of birth certificates, national immunisation cards, and previous early childhood assessments where applicable.
• Portal Credentials: Secure login credentials, classroom messages, event registrations, and attendance logs.

3. How We Use Student & Family Information

All collected data is utilized strictly for educational and caretaking operations, including:

• Providing attentive, individualized early childhood learning and day-to-day care.
• Communicating urgent health notices, classroom updates, homework, and emergency alerts.
• Maintaining regulatory compliance with early childhood education standards and health guidelines in Trinidad & Tobago.
• Fulfilling uniform, bookbag, and supply orders through our school shop.

4. WiPay & Payment Security

All online transactions for school shop merchandise, activities, and tuition deposits are processed through WiPay, a certified, encrypted payment gateway. Little Stars Preschool never collects, handles, or stores debit or credit card details on our local servers. All payment processing complies with strict PCI-DSS international encryption standards.

5. Photography & Student Media Consent

We celebrate our little stars' milestones, art projects, and joyful discoveries! Photographs and classroom videos are taken only with explicit written consent from parents via the Student Enrolment Form. Parents may adjust their media sharing preferences (classroom portal only vs. school publication) at any time through the administration office.

6. Data Retention & Security Controls

Digital records are protected by access controls restricted strictly to certified teachers and authorized administrators. Physical records are archived in secure, locked administrative facilities. We do not sell, rent, or distribute family records to any commercial third parties.

1. Enrolment & Admission Guidelines

Admission to Little Stars Preschool is granted on an ongoing basis subject to classroom availability, submission of the formal Student Enrolment Form, verification of immunisation records, and orientation with school educators. Placement is confirmed upon receipt of the registration deposit.

2. Tuition, Term Fees & School Shop Purchases

Tuition is payable by academic term (Term 1: September–December, Term 2: January–March, Term 3: April–July) prior to the commencement of each term. Uniforms, bookbags, and stationery sets ordered via the School Shop are fulfilled for in-person campus collection. All transactions are charged in Trinidad and Tobago Dollars (TTD).

3. Daily Hours, Arrival & Authorized Collection

Our preschool opens at 7:00 AM for early morning arrival. Regular class schedules run until 12:00 PM (Nursery), 1:00 PM (Preschool 1), and 2:00 PM (Preschool 2). Extended after-school care is available until 5:00 PM.

Strict Collection Protocol: For the security of every child, students are exclusively released to parents, guardians, or authorized persons identified on the enrolment register. Photo ID verification is mandatory for any alternative collection arrangement.

4. Health, Illness & Medication Administration

To protect our school community from contagious illness, children exhibiting fever, severe coughing, rashes, or communicable symptoms must remain home until completely symptom-free for at least 24 hours without medication. Prescribed medication may only be administered by designated school staff when accompanied by a signed Parent Medication Form and original pharmacy packaging.

5. Emergency Medical Authorization

In the event of an unforeseen medical emergency on campus, certified staff will deliver immediate first aid and contact parents or emergency contacts without delay. If immediate parental contact cannot be established, parents authorize school leadership to secure medical evaluation at an accredited medical facility.

6. Positive Behaviour & Respectful Community

Little Stars fosters a culture of kindness, empathy, and constructive guidance. We maintain open, respectful communication between families, teachers, and administration. Bullying, disrespectful conduct, or disruptive behavior will be addressed collaboratively with parents.

7. Operational Updates & Adherence

Operating protocols, campus safety regulations, and holiday closures may be amended to reflect national educational advisories or seasonal improvements. Timely notices will be communicated via the parent portal and school noticeboard.
